The stop sign before zebra-crossing means nothing for us Ahmedabadis. If some one dares to stop others will push him ahead by constant honking or some funny or nasty remarks. This happens in front of the traffic police who seem to have taken it for granted that the STOP line before zebra is meant to be violated. I think this is not pardonable. The traffic authorities are requested to fine us for such violations.
Lane-sense is another area where the law should take some steps especially when motorists do not care for dividers also. At Sardar Patel Stadium Cross Road this happens all the time. Some of the traffic coming from Drive in Road change the side ignoring divider before the crossing and the the traffic cops just look the other way. Don't do this. Please fine us. And let the fine be hefty.
Please make helmets compulsory. You know very well the importance of helmets. By not fining you are playing with the lives of the young. Please don't do this. Fine them and fine them well. Please call their parents. Book them too. I think this will definitely bring some result.
